26April2008Brother Rixiang-Ecc4:9-12-many of our friends come to know Christ through relationships-A community is a group of people with a commonality or sometimes a complex net of overlapping commonalities:bought by the blood of Jesus Christ, base on the Word of God, same vision-every cellgroup is a church-Eph2:19-22-while your relationship with God is persongal, He never intends it to be privateWhat makes a community last forever?1.An environment of love-cell group should be safe and secure-Proverbs27:17-practice listening rather than talking-its a daily thing-involves the support in good and bad times.-stand close and hold each other upBENEFITS1.people are empowered in the community to do more than they ever thought they could-Titus3:142.Individuals in the cells are identified-we have our own love language. : time, acts of svc, gifts, touch, words3.people are affirmed and encouraged.-1Thess5:10-114.the group is edified thru the word, fellowship and relationships-each member is given an opportunity for leadership development5.Heart issues are dealth with6.Serving and ministry gifts are exercised-Eph4:127.Cell groups provide a place for new believers to grow in Christ likeness8. cell group provide the support when we fall-are we building that environment of love?2.a place where there is acceptance-develop an open minded attitude:God's grace=>giving acceptance to those who dont deserce it and who never merit it-Eph2:8-our job is not to change someone's lives but to create the environment where the change can take place3.a place where we feel belonged-belonging to God's family requires commitment-Acts2:42-Human's basic universal needs->want to be loved, want to love. want to understand and wanted to be understood4.A place where there is partnership-Eph 2:10-fellowship can also be defined as partnership-love God and start to love each other-partners will cover each other in times of need-partners will take care of each other-partners will share whatever they haveLabels: our community(:
