i'll type it briefly.
5th Commandment: Exodus 20:12 "Honor your father and your mother,
so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.the highlighted part is actually a promise. the first commandment to have a promise. Amazing! :) but it shows that it's quite important.1. Home is a place where authority is learnt.
2. Home is a place where heritage is acquired.
3. Home is a place where love is experienced.
Parents love us but they never show it out; They know more than we know ourselves.
Experience love of God by experience the love of parents; love them the way they are.
2 forces acting against us!
-trying to find our identity
-tendency to feel intense about things (extremes)
5 things to honour our parents:
1. providing them physically and financially.
2. Live an honourable life.
3. acknowledging and involving them in our life stages.
4. taking care of them all their lives
5. leading them to know Jesus.
